I went to get my new front Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's installed up front on my 13 year old Mackin Industries Gewalt Type-S wheels, and upon replacing them, they pointed out that the wheel had been repaired on the inside (you could see the weld, plain as day) AND the wheel was bent to the point where it won't balance very well. (don't think "curb" bend...think "wobbly". I bought these wheels used from a member here with tires for hella-cheap, but I'm just now getting around to replacing the fronts. Now, that said, I took it to THREE different wheel shops today and they all told me the same thing: It isn't repairable. From here I have two options: Try to look for one or (a set) of these UBER rare wheels or 2.) Buy some better wheels now that I can afford something a little nicer. Granted these wheels look nice, and fit the car perfect, they are old, and look dated, and now cannot be repaired. I knew there was a slight vibration with them, but I didn't realize that this was the problem. What should a Zfreak do? :) (and if I were to buy new wheels, I'm thinking Fikse Profil 10's or HRE 540R's (or 540's). Now's a nice time to "update" the look of it. What do you think? What would you do if it's your Z? And before you say Fikse's or HRE's...WHY?
